Hexagon's newly launched RS-SQUARED blue light surface scanning probe is the first to apply structured light scanning technology to portable measuring arm products, bringing breakthrough innovation to the application of 3D scanning technology. RS-SQUARED uses a blue light measurement light source, which has strong applicability to the surface of parts and can be measured without spraying. It can effectively improve scanning efficiency and achieve high-precision and highly reliable operation in workshop environments. It is suitable for high-speed scanning of surfaces of simple shaped parts, and compared with traditional laser scanning measurement, it can complete large component measurement tasks faster.

Ultra high speed scanning

RS-SQUARED has a large measurement range, with a single data measurement area of up to 300 x 300 mm, which can quickly complete surface measurements of large-sized components. The RS-SQUARED detection efficiency is extremely high, with the ability to capture multiple image data per second. A single image can provide up to one million measurement points, and other high-quality laser scanners can complete the measurement of workpieces in an hour within 10 minutes.

Highly applicable

RS-SQUARED combines the flexibility of portable measuring arms with the high speed of structured light scanning. It uses an absolute arm as a reference benchmark, so there is no need to use marking points during measurement. Its applicability goes beyond the principle of grating projection scanners, and it can work without a stable measurement environment.
